Victorian baby bedding
A friend of mine, whose name is Ida, works as an interior designer. She usually designs modern rooms such as offices or station halls, but in fact she does not like the contemporary, minimalistic style at all. Her house looks a bit old-fashioned because she has included a lot of Victorian elements into her decor. She has recently had a child and she has decorated the nursery in a Victorian style as well! The walls in the room are painted white. There is a dark wooden crib with some embroidered
baby bedding inside. There is not much furniture in the room, just an ancient chest of drawers, made of some dark wood, and a similar wardrobe. Toys are made of simple materials such as wood or cloth. I like the white rocking horse best. I guess the child will have to wait until she is old enough to use it. Other toys include a wooden doll house and some wooden figures. There is a dark red carpet on the floor. Ida says it actually comes from India and it cost a lot of money. The curtains in the windows are snow white, just like the walls and the baby bedding. This creates a fantastic contrast. I really like this bedroom. I think Ida should try to get more private customers and make the old-fashioned Victorian style more popular.
